Hey all! I'm Gabi. I started SHP because I knew I needed to be around animals for my mental health. For the first year, it was just me, walking and pet sitting 24/7. Almost every new customer told me they had a negative experience with pet care, before SHP. I couldn't turn any new customers away, because I was so angry that so many people had negative experiences and couldn't trust anyone for pet care. That needed to change. I hired Andrea (our first employee!) and the rest is history. We're now on a mission to transform pet care around the country! Before SHP, I was a personal assistant, a photo editor, and a store manager. My mom, Susan, instilled in me my love of animals; I grew up fostering 60+ kittens and always having dogs and cats around. In my free time, I like to run, paint, read, and play with my BFF pup Buster.
Hi, I'm Hunter! I began building the SHP brand in 2019, and in 2020, I joined Gabi as part owner. I am dad to Buster, an awkward McNab shepherd, and Ernie, a polydactyl tabby cat with thumbs! I've cared for turtles, tortoises, rats, mice, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, and many other animals over the years. I've designed for Adobe, Avaya, Wingers, but my passion lies with SHP.
Hello, I'm Susan! I have parented dogs and cats my entire life. I am very experienced with elderly, diabetic, and seizure-prone animals. I have been mom to many animals, including: Dizzy, a little yellow bird, Pugger, a chewy, deaf, cuddly white boxer, Alfie, a loud long-haired grey kitty, and many others, all of which were rescues. I'll drop everything and anything to care for every animal like I would my own.
Hi, my name is Soni! I have always grown up around animals- mostly dogs at home, but if there was an animal around anywhere, I’d be at its side. Horses, cows, ducks, cats, sheep, I love them all! I also work at an urban farm in Salt Lake City, which is home to a family of skittish farm cats that I am always trying to befriend. Walking and being outside are my favorite pass times , and I think it is 100x better with a dog (or three) to join you. I currently have a cat, Pebbles, who is the light of my life! I can’t wait to get outside and play with your pets too!
Hi, my name is Audrey! I have been in Utah all my life and from a very young age I have been immersed in the grooming world with my mother. Even though I might have left the grooming up to her I had always been there to help her in every other way I could. I rescued my fur baby Freya back in 2016 and both of us enjoy going camping up north and finding a nice river to take a dip in. I love finding the types of enrichment animals enjoy. If they'd like to be jumping into a lake, figuring out a puzzle for treats, or even just cuddling up close for love. I'm here for it all!
Hi there! I'm Carsyn and my best buddy is my dog, Wizard. I have a Fine Arts degree and enjoy pursuing art when I'm not spending my time with furry friends! I love music, coffee, and knitting, as well as experiencing new things and people. Looking forward to befriending your sweet pets!
Hi there, I'm Kitzia! Growing up with a dad who was an animal medical professional, I have always had an interest in the animal welfare world. I worked as an audio engineer for years until I got a part-time job as a dog walker. I then realized that when I was working with animals, I was the happiest and most fulfilled I had ever been! After adopting my dog, Houdini, from the Humane Society of Utah, I spent over a year there taking pets in need into the facility. I learned so much about animal behavior and medicine. I am passionate about using the kindest methods possible to help animals live a peaceful, fun, happy life.

Hi everyone! My name is Hanna. I have been passionate about taking care of animals and people since I was little. Growing up, my mom and I took in as many animals as possible trying to give them a safe and loving home. Animals have always been a huge part of my life so I was so excited when I discovered SHP who shared the same love and passion for animals that I have. I currently have 3 pets of my own. Thor, a pitbull-husky mix who thinks he is a lap dog. Carl, a golden retriever who has made it his personal goal to push all of Thor's buttons. Last but definitely not least, Charlie, the sweetest bearded dragon who thinks she is a dog. All animals deserve great care and I can't wait to be part of that with yours!
Hi! I’m Katie and i've lived in Utah my whole life. I have loved animals since a very young age and have had animals such as dogs, rabbits, turtles, frogs, fish, and guinea pigs! I have always had a love for animals and felt a special connection to them! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and elderly dogs as well. I love to take my own dog Brandy on hikes, and walks to the park and give her cuddles as much as she will let me! My mission is to make sure every animal has the love and care it deserves and I would love to be the person that can do that for your animals!
Hi everyone, I'm Erica! I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee but moved to Salt Lake City recently because of my love for the wildlife and mountains here. I've been around and owned all types of animals my entire life - from exotics like snakes and parrots to your regular household pets like cats and dogs. I'm a certified AKC dog trainer and love figuring out how to work and click best with all different types of dog personalities! Although I left most of my fur-babies behind with my parents back home, I currently own a Honduran Milksnake called Newt, a betta named Kai, and two African Dwarf Frogs. I look forward to adoring your pets as much as you do.
My name is Faith! I have grown up with animals my entire life. I have lived with cats, dogs, snakes, birds, hermit crabs, guinea pigs, dwarf hamsters, geckos, and many more! I have taken care of rescue birds, and usually work with rescue animals. I am an artist and a biology major!
